Activities | Croquet
Why play Croquet?
Firstly there is the sheer enjoyment of the game, which combines something of the intellectual puzzle-solving of a game like chess (or a cryptic crossword) with an element of physical activity in which skills such as precision and delicacy of touch come into play.
You will have plenty of time to chat to your fellow croquet players, and get some exercise.
How to play
The game is a race around the circuit of hoops in order. The Blue and Black balls play against the Red and Yellow balls. The first side to get both of their balls through the 12 hoops in order and hit the peg is the winner. Once a ball has completed the circuit and hit the peg (is pegged out) it is removed from the game.
