What is Line Dancing?
A line dance is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows without regard for the gender of the individuals, all facing the same direction or facing each other, and executing the steps at the same time.
Easy and Enjoyable
Line dancing is the best and appropriate way to get rid from all the burden and stress of life. Moreover, line dancing is highly beneficial for U3A members it keeps them young from heart. Also it helps to build a social circle and provides an opportunity to make new friends.

Here you can really have fun and enjoyment !! Really the more members make the sesssion hilarious. Whether you are highly active or not you will enjoy the comradeship and the group involvement.
Line Dancing has health benefits
It boosts up energy levels, improves cholesterol levels, helps to manage weight, reduces the risk of heart disease, conditions the body, increases stamina and above all keeps them mentally fit (as we will have to do mental exercise to remember the steps).
The Lanark & District U3A version is set at the level of the members which is packed with enjoyment, team support, and personal pleasure.

"The majority of the class have never tried Line Dancing before and it is quite inspiring to see the progress that they have made already. I have seen members helping other members as we all need a bit of time to get the steps right - but we can all do it with some persistence (and support). Come and try something new and have an enjoyable time."
